Happy almost Friday, friends! It’s Day Two of 2 weeks of DIY gift giving and I’m keepin’ it short and sweet because I’ve got family visiting this weekend and my apartment needs some major TLC. Aka: I need to attempt to make it look like it wasn’t hit by a tornado.
In the season of pumpkin spice lattes (which I’ve never had, btw) and red cup controversy, I feel like hot chocolate often gets forgotten. Sure, it may not be as hip or current as the latest craze at Starbucks, but it’s here to stay and I think it’s time to bring it to the forefront. So this holiday season, let’s ditch the generic last-minute gifts found in the TJMaxx checkout line and craft up some fun DIY hot chocolate kits to add some color and cheer to this gloomy winter weather!
The fun thing about hot chocolate is that you can mix in whatever you want! I threw in some fun colored spoons & straws along with pocky sticks (for flavored drink stirrers!) and peppermint candies to add that holiday touch. I’m pretty basic when it comes to hot chocolate but if you have any suggestions for must-do add-ins or flavors, let me know in the comments! I feel like I need to expand my horizons after all these years.
What You Need: Hot Chocolate Mix // Plastic Spoons // Pocky (for flavor drink stirrers!)
Marshmallows // Paper Straws // Hard Candies
