One of my favorite things about the holiday season is all the adorable gift wrapping-goodness that fill the stores. I love looking at all the holiday designs, patterns, and typography and it always makes me eager to create my own. So I did. For a fraction of the cost, I transformed a dollar store brown paper bag into a gift bag I would be proud to give. Whoever said brown paper bags were only for packed lunches, anyway? And you can make this exact bag yourself with the downloadable printable I designed.
Things you’ll need…
– Printable (here) -Brown Paper Bag- String –
– Scissors – Glue – Hole Punch –
1. After cutting out the Label and Gift tag, adhere the label to the center of the bag.
2. Fold over the top and bottom of the bag (like below).
3. Flip to back and cut two slits in the top portion of the bag for the string to rest in. Then punch a hole in the bottom folded section.
4. String the gift tag (with a hole punched through) to the front of the bag and bring string around through slits to back. Loop through the punched hole and tie shut.
And that’s it! It’s ready to give! I’m going to be filling mine with Homemade Soap and Lip Balm from Revive Bath & Body to give as gifts! It’s a perfect size and I’m in love with her products!
(Btw, this girl rocks. She’s a college student who opened her own business. And her soap is amazing!)
You could also fill them with cookies, candy, or whatever else your heart desires.
So for the cost of a piece of paper & brown paper bag, you can create your own packaging!
Did you make this?
