If you read yesterday’s post I explained to you the little bake-off we had here at my house. So here is the ‘opposing’ recipe…double chocolate chip cookies! I let the little brother scour Pinterest (which was new to him) and find a recipe he wanted to make. Of course, he chose the most chocolate filled recipe out there. But hey, I’m fine with that. I will never complain about too much chocolate.
So I read all the ingredients off to him while he was slaving away by the mixer. It was all going well until I look up from my computer to see him about to pour 3/4 cup of baking soda in the bowl instead of 3/4 teaspoon. Haha. Luckily, I stopped him just in time. Wouldn’t that have been a disaster! Overall, he did a great job in the kitchen. It might have been the first time my mom had to get cocoa powder out a basketball uniform.
So after we were in the clear (when he left the kitchen!) I scooped the dough on the tray and baked em’ up. They turned out great, even after the little mishap.

Yum-o! These were definitely worth making. Despite the near-death disaster (of the cookies), everything turned out great. I left for the evening and when I came back these cookies were gone. Surprise, surprise.
