I totally agree! It’s so easy to get wrapped in getting things PERFECT that it can cripple us from focusing on other important parts of blogging. I’ve totally experienced that as a blogger and I know so many others have, as well.

I have spent a lot of time obsessing about my blog design, and am now quite satisfied with the result. But the thing is, it’s hard to know how people see your blog. So I think it’s essential to also get feedback from other people. It’s also important not to obsess too much. There was a time when I was spending more time changing my blog’s design than actually creating content, and I see lots of bloggers do this.

Hi Kate! Overall, I feel like there was a lot of great material that I already knew but there was also some great bits of information that I hadn’t even considered doing. For me, I got more blog optimization tips (seo, tools, income, how to handle affiliates) out of this course than I did photography tips. If you’re wanting photography tips, I’d say their Tasty Food Photography e-book is more what you’d want. They share some non-DSLR tips, but a majority of it is related to DSLR. Food Blogger Pro is definitely more well-rounded in terms of covering a wide range of blogging topics and tips.

Hope that helps!

Glad it inspired you! Getting the right material works wonders! For a while I was shooting on white cardboard and had trouble with the crispness of it. Hope your new setup building goes well!!

They are wonderful. I’m planning to make a background like that but haven’t get myself to do it. I’m still using white cardboard for my blog photo. This post really motivated me to build a new background

I was just wondering how you ended up liking the food blogger pro courses? I have yet to bite the bullet and purchase it, plust I don’t have a DSLR so I’m not sure it will be worth it!
